Myriah Conroy is a senior producer of high-level meetings across a wide spectrum of organizations. She delivers engaging content in collaboration with partners, clients, and an A-list roster of world-class speakers. Myriah brings her innate energy and sparkle to the table, where ideas and people meet. Over the past dozen years, Myriah has created programs and campaigns with executive teams at Equinix, Cisco, Techonomy, Charles Schwab, Social Investment Forum, and Calvert Group. She has co-authored transportation studies, and co-hosted master planning processes for civic audiences. She has led campaigns for Congress, environmental concerns, and various civil liberties causes, as well as advocating before the Colorado legislature and crafting election reform legislation. Myriah has a proven track record of building consensus and cultivating action across the numerous disciplines where her experiences have lead her. Before co-founding Idea Trading Company, Myriah was a program director for the Van Heyst Group, where she worked on executive events including Cisco's C-level summits, and multiple global sales and analyst conferences for Equinix.
With 25 years of experience in marketing & design, John Heins brings a diverse and eclectic mix of skills to Idea Trading Company. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City, he turned his keen design eye to the apparel industry, and then consumer advertising brands including: Twisted Tea, Milagro Tequila, Kraft Foods, Maxwell House, Post Cereals, JVC, Kelty Outdoor and Saucony. A skilled and hands-on craftsman, John melded his love of music with his 3D illustration skills to design award winning high-end audiophile loudspeakers & electronics. John also has a knack for creating a wide variety of games from family entertainment sold at retail & online to custom-designed games for Global Fortune 500 business events. Before co-founding Idea Trading Company, he held the role of Chief Creative + Marketing Officer at the Van Heyst Group for six years. John has overseen the marketing for influential business events ranging from Cisco C-suite level executive summits (almost 20 of them in all), to globally minded forums like the African Green Revolution Forum on food security in Accra, Ghana.
Erica Spoor is a senior event strategist and communicator with more than 18 years of experience producing meaningful, impactful events and experiences for clients such as Cisco Systems, Oracle, VMware, RainFocus, the Materials Research Society and Virtual Edge Institute. She has extensive experience managing complex, large-scale events and delivering strategic planning frameworks for projects requiring broad leadership and stakeholder engagement. As a former journalist, Erica has a keen understanding of audience that she blends with first-hand experience working with diverse organizational cultures and dynamics. She is adept at pushing through entrenched thinking of how things “used to be done” and helping clients manage the risk of embracing fresh, new ideas. Part big thinker and idea generator—balanced with a healthy dose of facilitator, planner, producer, and researcher—Erica brings both optimism and pragmatism to her client engagements.
Jennifer Damitio has coordinated market research & recruitement and helped organized events for global Fortune 500 companies including Equinix and Cisco, as well as non-profits such as The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She has been a key contributor to executive relations and on-site logistics providing support under tight time constraints in roles that included liaising with speakers & special guests, and helping run the registration info desk. Additionally, Jennifer's detail-oriented work-style excels her in managing contact databases and creating pre- and post-event surveys. She is also fluent in the Japanese language.
Ken Carlton has threaded his passion for the arts, entrepreneurial business, and social action, into a wide-ranging career – all through his love of writing. He has provided end-to-end coverage from keynote speeches to in-depth white papers for such clients as The New York Times Company, Fortune, Time, Cisco, Equinix, and Bertelsmann, to name but a few. He recently scripted the African Green Revolution Forum on food security in Accra, Ghana, and wrote Kofi Annan’s closing remarks, delivered to a body of Africa’s leading agriculture ministers. Ken’s new novel, Food for Marriage, was published this March by Amazon, and he co-authored, along with Chef John DeLucie, The Hunger, a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers nominee. kencarlton.net
Event manager Hollis Brooks has organized global gatherings for a variety of clients including Adobe, Apple, Sports Illustrated and Time magazines, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the Sundance Institute, Absolut Vodka, Vail Resorts, Aspen Skiing Company, Rolex Watch USA and others. For Apple, Brooks coordinated a VIP speaker series for the creative division at company HQ; for Adobe, Brooks organized a series of annual tech conferences hosted by their Creative Director. She currently serves as a speaker management consultant for Adobe events. A former editor at Skiing magazine and InStyle magazine, Brooks combines her eye for aesthetics with a focus on hospitality details. Based in Boulder, Colorado, she is a frequent contributor to food and trend magazines, specializing in restaurant reviews and travel reporting.
